Apple is preparing to unveil its next-generation iPhone SE, the iPhone SE 4, early next year, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who doubles down on previous rumors that suggest the new device will feature an all-screen design with Face ID.
In a report on Tuesday, Gurman says that alongside the launch of the iPhone SE 4 next year, Apple will debut new, upgraded iPads, including a new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models that will focus on “internal improvements” over the current lineup.
The iPhone SE 4 will see the SE-series receive its biggest redesign to date, with it widely rumored that the device will spot a similar design as that found on the iPhone 14, including Face ID, slim bezels and an OLED display. Rumors also suggest that the device will have a single rear camera and the familiar ‘notch,’ which debuted on the iPhone X.
Apple’s most recent iPhone SE update came in 2022, with the launch of the 5G iPhone SE, featuring the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13, 5G connectivity, better battery life, improved durability, and more for a new, higher price of $429 (US).
