Apple says holiday quarter will be biggest in company history

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said the company expects the upcoming holiday quarter to be the biggest in its history, forecasting revenue growth of 10% to 12% year on year.

“We expect total company revenue to grow by 10 to 12 percent year over year, with iPhone revenue up by double digits,” Cook told investors, adding that such performance would make the December quarter the best ever for Apple.

Cook said the strong outlook is being driven by “off the chart” demand for the new iPhone 17 lineup, launched in September, which has seen strong sales across multiple regions.

Apple’s previous record quarter came during last year’s holiday period, when it reported $124.3 billion in revenue.

According to CNBC, analysts had expected Apple to guide to around $132.3 billion for the upcoming quarter. Hitting the midpoint of Cook’s forecast — around $136.7 billion — would comfortably beat those estimates.
