Apple will no longer include its iconic stickers in the box of any iPhone 16 models, according to a new report. Instead, customers will be able to request the stickers at an Apple Store, starting when the new models become available on Friday.

As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple has informed store teams that it is discontinuing the inclusion of the plastic Apple stickers, which have been a part of every iPhone box since the original iPhone launched in 2007. This move aligns with Apple’s environmental goals, as the company works toward becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

Similar to recent iPad models, which also exclude the stickers, customers purchasing a new iPhone can still request a sticker sheet at the point of sale.

Apple touts online how the packaging for the new iPhone 16 lineup is entirely fibre-based, with Apple pledging to remove plastic from its packaging by next year.
