A new polished titanium finish could be introduced with the launch of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, according to “yeux1122” on the Naver blog, which claims that manufacturers will use “a method with improved titanium processing and color processing” for the new devices that could offer “a more polished material.”

As reported by MacRumors, the alleged improved manufacturing process will supposedly result in a glossy appearance, similar to that seen on previous iPhone models. However, the new titanium finish will be less prone to scratches compared to stainless steel.

Though it’s early for iPhone 16 rumors, reports suggest the new device might include larger displays, upgraded camera systems, and Wi-Fi 7 capabilities. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are slated to gain a new Capture button on the side of the device, offering users access to camera controls whenever it is pressed.
