Apple has opened pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro in Taiwan ahead of its launch on Sunday, December 17. Customers in the country can now pre-order the headset via Apple.com and the Apple Store app.
Apple Vision Pro, the company’s first mixed-reality headset, combines digital content with the physical world to create immersive spatial experiences. The device supports lifelike FaceTime calls, immersive gaming, educational tools, and creative applications for design and digital art.
Crafted from a single piece of three-dimensionally formed laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame, the Vision Pro contours to the user’s face. Advanced cameras and sensors enable the mixed-reality experience, while speakers positioned near the ears deliver Spatial Audio for realistic three-dimensional soundscapes.
One standout feature, EyeSight, helps users stay connected with their surroundings. When someone approaches a Vision Pro user, the device appears transparent, allowing the wearer to see the person while displaying their own eyes. During immersive experiences, EyeSight provides visual cues to indicate the user’s focus.
The expansion to Taiwan follows the device’s rollout in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates last month, and in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom in July. The headset was initially launched in the United States earlier this year.
