Police officer accused of Apple Store stealing spree

A Dallas police officer has turned himself in after being accused of stealing merchandise from multiple Apple Stores where he worked overnight security shifts.

As reported by Apple Insider, the officer was assigned to the Apple NorthPark, Apple Knox Street, and Apple Galleria locations in Dallas, Texas. Surveillance footage reportedly showed him concealing around 25 items on one occasion, and at another time placing products under his Dallas Police Raid jacket. In a separate incident, he was allegedly seen using a trash picker to grab a box of AirPods Pro from a high shelf.

According to CBS News Texas, citing a warrant, the officer is accused of selling the stolen items on Facebook Marketplace. The total value of the merchandise taken is estimated at $37,806.
