TikTok Launches Updated Automotive Ad Options
It may not seem like the obvious choice for car ads, but TikTok has repeatedly noted its potential to drive automotive sales, with an active, engaged audience of car fans, many of whom are in the market to buy at any given time.
And now, TikTok has launched a custom ad solution to help auto sellers tap into the potential of the app.
As explained by TikTok:

With easy setup, dynamic creative, and automotive-specific optimization models, Automotive Ads will help you efficiently reach your audience, boost engagement, and maximize ROI – all with minimal effort and seamless integration.”
TikTok’s dedicated auto ads aim to simplify auto promotions in the app, with minimal setup and automated product flows, based on available inventory lists, to power the display.
“Automotive Ads are catalog-based ads that match your models, offers, or inventory with users based on their in-market activity and preferences. They help you match users with the right car or offer for them.”
TikTok’s new auto ads are available with video or multi-link carousel cards, across a range of objectives.
And it could be a good solution. Again, TikTok has repeatedly noted that it drives billions of views of car-related content every day, among its highly engaged community of auto fans.
TikTok’s younger audience may also be more interested in the latest makes and models over an older crowd, while the app’s affluent user base could have more capacity to drive sales than you might expect.
It’s another consideration either way, and with variable ad display based on available inventory, it could be a good way to get your latest vehicle listings in front of the right crowd.
