Apple closes Bristol, UK store without replacement

by Wire Tech

Apple will today permanently close its retail store in Bristol, UK, with no replacement planned.

The Apple Bristol store, located near the Cabot Circus Shopping Centre, was a narrow two-level space that hadn’t been modernised like nearby locations, including Apple Cribbs Causeway and Apple SouthGate in Bath.

The closure — affecting the location formerly known as Apple Cabot Circus — comes ahead of major redevelopment plans for the area, where the site is expected to be transformed into residential buildings, restaurants, and other commercial spaces.

It’s unusual for Apple to permanently close a store without opening a new one nearby.
