Apple extends AppleCare+ renewal period to 45 days after coverage ends

by Wire Tech

Apple has recently extended the timeframe for customers to renew their AppleCare+ coverage following its expiration. Previously, users had a 30-day window to extend their coverage after their original AppleCare+ plan ended; this has now been extended to 45 days.

According to the updated AppleCare+ support documentation, customers now have 45 days from the expiration of their existing coverage to enroll in a new AppleCare+ plan. Renewal options include extending coverage by 24 months, 36 months, on a monthly basis, or annually until canceled.

This extension period applies to customers in Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. However, in China, the renewal period remains at 30 days.

For those with iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, AppleCare+ plans can now be renewed either monthly or annually. Mac users, on the other hand, can opt for annual renewal of their coverage plans.
