Apple to relocate retail store at Manchester’s Trafford Centre with reopening on March 1

Apple has confirmed that it will be closing its current retail store in the Trafford Centre, one of Manchester’s most iconic shopping destinations, in favor of a new, upgraded location within the mall. The existing store will close permanently on February 27, 2025, with the new store set to open its doors on March 1, 2025. The move is part of Apple’s ongoing strategy to modernize and expand its retail presence in the UK.

The Apple Post previously reported in 2023 that the tech giant had plans to revamp its Trafford Centre location, based on a report from Bloomberg. According to that report, Apple is set to refurbish and relocate seven stores across the UK over the next two years, in line with its broader initiative to enhance customer experiences. This includes not only upgrading store layouts but also incorporating the brand’s latest store design features, tailored for greater interaction and engagement with visitors.

The new Trafford Centre location will reflect Apple’s modern retail design, which includes a refreshed layout with features like the “Today at Apple” area, where customers can engage in live creative sessions and workshops. The upgraded store will also showcase new product displays, highlighting Apple’s latest tech innovations and services, providing a hands-on experience for visitors. Moreover, the potential introduction of an Apple Pickup area will allow customers to conveniently collect online orders, further enhancing the retail experience.

The Trafford Centre itself is famous for its luxurious shopping offerings, including high-end brands, entertainment options, and a variety of dining establishments. It is widely regarded as one of the largest and most popular shopping malls in the UK, drawing millions of visitors each year.
