Apple is reportedly nearing the trial production phase of its next-generation iPhone 17e, which is expected to launch in May 2026, according to a leaker citing Chinese supply chain sources.

As reported by MacRumors, leaker Fixed Focus Digital claims Apple is targeting a late May 2026 release for the new e-series iPhone, which will succeed the iPhone 16e that debuted in February.

In a post on Weibo, the leaker stated that the device “is almost in the trial production stage.”

Apple unveiled the iPhone 16e in February, featuring the A18 chip with support for Apple Intelligence, a 48MP 2-in-1 camera system, an Action button, satellite capabilities, and more — starting at $599.
