A new leak has revealed what appear to be Apple’s upcoming ‘TechWoven’ cases for the iPhone 17, featuring support for a ‘Crossbody Strap.’ The strap attachment would let users clip a loop to their case and wear the phone around their neck or wrist.
Leaker Majin Bu shared images of the cases on Wednesday. The ‘TechWoven’ line is reportedly set to replace Apple’s discontinued FineWoven accessories, which were widely criticized for being prone to scratches and wear.
The leaked images show four color options — green, black, brown, and a new blue shade called Sierra. Another photo of the back of a retail box reveals additional details: the cases are “Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in Taiwan,” and confirm support for MagSafe and Apple’s Camera Control feature.
The packaging sketch also highlights two small holes in the bottom-left and bottom-right corners of the case, which mark the attachment points for the new ‘Crossbody Strap.’
The leaker says “TechWoven blends the strength of a technical fabric with a premium aesthetic. Its refined yet robust texture is engineered to provide protection against impacts, scratches, and daily wear, and deliver an elegant, minimalist look.”
