Apple has added refurbished versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring M3 Pro and M3 Max chip options to its certified refurbished online store, marking the first time these machines have been offered at a discounted price since their release in October 2023.
Starting at $1,699, the 14-inch M3 Pro model comes with an 11-core CPU and 14-core GPU, offering a $300 discount from the original $1,999 starting price. The 16-inch MacBook Pro, equipped with the M3 Pro chip, 12-core CPU, and 18-core GPU, starts at $2,119, providing a $380 saving compared to the brand-new unit priced at $2,499.
Customers can shop additional configurations with chip, memory, and storage space upgrades, but availability may vary over time.
Apple’s refurbished Macs closely resemble new products, undergoing a refurbishment process that includes comprehensive functionality testing, replacement of any defective modules, and a thorough cleaning and inspection. Refurbished products are eligible for AppleCare+ and come with the same 14-day return period as new Apple devices.
