Apple CEO Tim Cook hosted King Charles III at the iPhone maker’s headquarters in London, where His Majesty was given a tour of Apple Battersea, located at Battersea Power Station. During the visit, the King met Apple employees, members of the British creative community, and students who have learned skills like coding through educational programs supported by Apple and the UK-based nonprofit, The King’s Trust.
“We were honored to welcome His Majesty King Charles to Apple Battersea — our home in the UK — and we’re proud to support The King’s Trust in its vital work educating and empowering young people,” said Cook in a press release on Thursday. “We look forward to our continued growth here, building on more than 40 years of history in the United Kingdom.”
The tour of Battersea Power Station, Apple’s UK headquarters since 2023, included a special holiday concert by award-winning British musician RAYE and a visit from children at the nearby St. George’s Primary School. The students created holiday artwork on their school iPads, which was then projected onto the former power station’s iconic chimneys.
To conclude the visit, Tim Cook presented His Majesty King Charles III with a commemorative plaque.
